Well if it doesn't rain, it pours. So this morning I got a fault message about special program unavailable and total loss of power. So looked on here are found what I am hoping to be perhaps a sticking actuator. I believe I am more than capable of going in through the top and just as capable goin iin through the wheel arch. Which would be the best in your opinion.
But also I need to get the codes read, I only have BMW/ MINI scanner. Is there any one near SS17 who can assist?

Well that seems an easier DIY to do. Will remove engine covers later on and take a look. I'm kinda praying it's only that. Should I go for silicon or Oem to replace if needed? Mods:

No signs of any splits. Infact looks in pretty good condition although it I guess it's hidden under a cover and is well protected.
Won't rev above 1200 until slightly warmed up. Then only to about 2500 with a gentle press on the throttle but the needle doesn't sweep quickly to that reading at all Mods:

Iv always heard bad things about cleaning them, maybe more so with the BMW owners perhaps. Looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get a scanner.
Also my Egr valves are blanked if that has caused an issue over time? Mods:

Blanking egr’s shouldn’t cause a problem. Split intercooler pipe will cause black smock on acceleration. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Never had black smoke. It won't even accelerate, struggled to reverse over a driveway kerb stone earlier. I mentioned the Blanked Egr because having read old threads many replies mention that the egr might have gone. So thought to highlight the fact so nobody went down that route with any advice they had.
Shame so many threads never finish with an update, good or bad. Mods:
