Maybe PM some members that are in the same town as him to see if they know of him........then send the boys round!!!
Or look on Facebook, it's perfect for that kind of thing!
I think you get all sorts on here. ... I've had a few people turning up on my door for a few updates and leave without even saying a thank you...
Simple words but not used, twice happened to me now when helping a member out as forum courier, not anymore
Andy don't about, name and shame, someone else will likely get taken in
If they're not responding to PMs consider it lost, I had a member on here sell me damaged goods, offered 50% refund as it could be repaired , I got it done, gone dark by pm and text and PayPal request ever since , needless to say I DO have his address as I posted him goods in the past, all I can say is watch out, I'll be calling.Altox GSM FBH controller thread

I think no is the correct answer, after all low end tools are cheap enough nowadays.
Lats thing i lent out was my sykes flaring tool, then the tit set his garage on fire and nearly took the house with it, worst of all my sykes was in a plastic box
I got it back and dug it out of the melted plastic and it still works fine

It's from Hamlet Alan.

For loan oft loses both itself and friend,
And borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

which is a real shame, as one of the great things about this forum is the willingness to help others.
I felt really bad when borrowing a router from bodsy, and when I took it back I had lost one of the clips/cathes that holds the case shut, so wasnt taking it back in the condition that I'd borrowed it.
Let hope the guilty party in your case comes good
