Thought I would give you all an update.
In short:-
Axa sent a very apologetic letter and will be offering an additional discount to me when I'm due for renewal.
Autoglass have also sent me a very apologetic letter and €100 compensation.
Both Axa & Autoglass have taken unspecified internal action to make sure this can not happen again, the regulator here in Ireland was also involved in this issue and I'm sure that this would not have been the case if I didn't have a broker that was willing to fight my corner.
Moral of the story is, don't let Autoglass fob you off and I'm sure that it's only because my insurance broker got stuck into Axa that I got anywhere. Get you next insurance off a broker that is willing to stand up for you.
So all in, I'm a happy camper, even if it was a bit of a fight, it was worth it. Dale

Very interesting read therealboss
I'm due a new windscreen as I've a creeping chip in steering wheel line of view. My worry is that Admiral use Autoglass as well and they called me yesterday to say that my screen is only supplied to order and it will OEM.
It'll be interesting to see both when it will be fitted and what glass they turn up with. My first questions to the fitter will be "is it a Pilkington Opticool screen & heated" then "have you the new A pillar trims with new clips" If not I'll turn them away and will be straight on the phone.
If everything is as it should be then I'll keep an eye as the new screen & trims are fitted so I do not have a problem as you did.
I'll keep you posted to see if I have any problems along the line

To save yourself a lot of hassle I would suggest you call them before
They hold the screens in a central location and ship to the fitters what is requested for the job
Just tell your call handler that due to the warranty from Land Rover on your car it must be the correct parts or they will invalidate your warranty Must stop buying shiny toys....

I’m with admiral and sent auto glass away twice as they brought the Chinese copy, FY something. Eventually brought a LR pilkington screen. Admiral don’t like modifications so why they allow the copy screens to be fitted surprises me. Disco 4

The warranty mention may be a good idea. Trouble is, I do not have a LR Warranty anymore so if they ask for proof, I might be .

New screen fitted by AG😣 Not a genuine LR Pilkington but Fuyao with solar tint.
Admiral my insurance company told me I'd not get a LR replacement even though I mentioned to them that this will be a modification & against their terms. They replied "it's an approved screen, that's why we now fit them"🤪
So, this non Pilkington screen is now fitted and if I do not like it, I'll change insurance companies and follow a tipper lorry all the way to Edinburgh when I'm next there in few months 👍

I asked Admiral regarding fitting different wheels they said if they were genuine Land Rover of a type suitable for a Discovery it wouldn’t be a problem, when they ask you at renewal time regarding modifications tell them it has a Fuyao screen fitted just to see what they say
