no, they are always national. the squares start with "ZA" but the rules are the same, only the format changes

At the beggining they started from AA000AA for the rectangular and ZA000AA for the square.

Department of complication simple things.

I just remember looking it up when I realised all the square plated cars had ZA prefixes.

Congratulations on the new car.
I've been wondering, is the oil dilution issue now sorted in these?
Cheers

The oil dilution is a SD4 issue.....

The 2.0L engine it isn't a good choice for the D5.....

The TD6 engine is the same (refined) of MY2016- Discovery 4 (V6 Diesel)

That's not correct ...oil dilution was on the Discovery Sport 2.0 ...not the D5 Wink

The 240 2.0 is a great engine in the D5 Thumbs Up

The reason I ask is because there are plenty of complaints of early service due to oil dilution on the Disco 5 forum.
It may well be the most viewed topic on the forum from what I can see.

There are other threads too on this topic.

Early service calls for oil dilution on D5 was mainly on the 17 & 18my TDv6, oil dilution is not measured but inferred by calculation, when revising the algorithm for SDV6 , it was decided that the calculation was wrong, my TDV6 had early services every 5000 miles, however, after the calculation was redone and flashed to my car it then went to the 16000 mile services as expected.
