Had all four wheels off for inspection and clean
So it looks like I need new front pads at least wear down to what looks like 4mm . Also noted it's Ferodo pads on the car marked Land Rover as well. So the hunt is in for replacements , normally go to ECP but they don't sell Ferodo pads will cast my net far this time.
PS those 19" wheels are a bitch to lift back on !

Going to assume that genuine brakes pads for my Discovery are Ferodo but made for Land Rover ? Quite a price difference. Looking around only issue is trying to work out the right kind !

The LR branded pads are not the same as the std Ferrodo's, they have different specs of pad compounds Altox GSM FBH controller thread

But, £170 for genuine pads is a bit extreme, I'm sure you'll agree... My D3 Build Thread
I'm thinking D3 Mike - but £60k motor has servicing costs to go with it. One thing I don't want to skimp on is brakes. Though that is not to say other makes are not as good, I'm sure they are as the LR badge does add several ££ without any real benefit.Mark.
