MY16, 2016 Bailey Brindisi, Road Lights

I have a MY16 Disco 4 SE.
I am in the process of buying a 2016 Bailey Brindisi caravan.

Has anyone else got this combination, and can confirm the type of lights on the caravan (LED or Filament) and if I am going to have any problem with the working of the road lights on the caravan?

Done the usual search, but nothing found that is specific to my combination.

Hi, we have a 2011 D4 HSE with a standard Land Rover fixed towbar and 13 pin electrics. We recently purchased a new 2017 Bailey Brindisi and have towed three times already with this. I don't know if the lights are LED or not but we've had no problems with the lighting; all electrics working well.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your Brindisi. It's a very easy tow with a D4!

We have got a 2016 Bailey Unicorn III and that uses filament bulbs, in fact Bailey reverted to filament lights after initially fitting LED lights for the 2015 model year.

I would suspect the Pegasus range will follow the same lighting options as the Unicorn range.

Thank you all for your replies.

I am not in a position to confirm the type of bulbs in the Brindisi road lights. I too had heard that they might be filament, but not certain as many modern caravans have LED road lights.

The MY 16 Disco has LED rear lights, so if the caravan also turns out to have LED lights I might be okay, unless some how the circuits are different for the Disco lights and the 13 pin outlet for the caravan.

I shall find out in a few days when we pick up the caravan. I'll update in case someone else has the same query as me.

Saw a brand new, first outing Pegasus last weekend, filament lamps fitted, was not a Brindisi, very much doubt they would fit LED's in the Pegasus Brindisi and not in the others. As already mentioned by Jamiehol, Bailey had a go with LED's but withdrew them a few months later.

Thanks Washwipe.

It's looking good that all will work.

Just hope the reports of slipping front side seat cushions doesn't cause me trouble.

Very much looking forward to my purchase though.

Cheers NSE.

UPDATE:-

Collected MY2016 Bailey Pegasus IV Brindisi. It has filament road lights, so no problems with their function behind the MY2016 Disco.

Also looks as though the front side seat cushions have been replaced under guarantee by previous owner - all looking good. Just fitted jacking brackets and shock absorbers.

NSE.

Has it got a Truma made external BBQ point, if so it would be worth checking if it falls in the date range of the Truma recall.

Further update:-

I now discover that the Bailey Brindisi has in addition to the normal FILAMENT road lights, also has LED front lower lights and the LED orange side marker lights.

With this combination, all works well with my model of Disco 4.
