Lack of some bongs after COD update
Ok so I've had a search and found a bit but not really what I wanted to know
After have the COD update I'm lacking some important (well to me anyway) bongs. The most important one I've noticed is the low coolant warning no longer bongs when it comes up on the dash, but also the low fuel, low outside temp and low washer fluid no longer bong when the messages come up on the dash too. However the warning to say the hand brake isn't on still bongs as the message comes up on the dash.
I gather this is something that's happened to others but I can't find the solution. Is it just something that needs changing in the CCF to make them work again or is it something's else?
Many thanks.

It sounds like your car had missed some updates at the dealers prior to you doing them.

I have MY08 and don't have any of the bongs, same as you. I know earlier cars had bongs and they became deleted through various dealer updates .

I would hope maybe something like the low coolant would still have a bong though?IID, webasto software and workshop facility's available.

I can't comment on that because I haven't had the low coolant message, sorry 😐
When you update to newer software for the COD you loose some bongs on the older MY cars, its because your using software from a later ipack, as long as you get the warnings but not the bongs all should be fine.

Thanks flack, yes messages are present but not the bong. Emailed gap and they said the same thing, it's the firmware and not settings that can be changed to make it bong again.
Thanks for all the replys.

I was really happy when I did the software update and the bongs stopped.
Every time it went bong was a heart sink moment as I immediately thought the worst. Of course it was usually something minor like the windscreen washer or fuel levels. I can still get the messages but it doesn't go bong and make me instantly think that the engine has just died.
You would think that such a sophisticated pile of electronics it could have made different noises for different things.
