Shocked oh, a halfway lift is a bit harsh! I'd have to drag them out of the car.

Yes, the occupation one would be interesting. Then I will tell you what they have been steadfastly vowing to do with their lives and to be fair, are working towards.

The more you pander to their whims the more whims they will think up.

Problem is - it is not just food. They will expect the same in all aspects of their life now as that is the way they have been brought up.

They are your kids and you love them dearly, but it does sound like they have no concept of the value of things (and by this I mean the value of a choice of food at meal times, the chioce of how they live in your house), and until they do understand that to get somethng you have to give something, it wont change.

Sounds like your missus has made a rod for your back Whistle

Living on a farm my kids did plenty of chores, in fact once they were old enough they used to do all the weekday cooking as OH and I worked full time. As for lifts usually school or pleasure they walked the 1.5 mile to bus stop leaving their wellies at our "neighbours" unless it was raining or one of us was going out and fashion didn't stop them earring hivis in the dark either.

Thumbs Up well today's gone reasonably well, apart from the 13 year old not getting out of her pit at a reasonable time.

They all ate their lunch, but there again it was Pizza, leaving me with the conundrum about what to do for tea. I can see that going Censored up.

We are very rural too. Not even on or near a bus route.

Yes, I both SWMBO and I are probably to blame. Thing is we are hyper OCD and early on, we'd rather do something ourselves than let them at it, hence they don't even bothering offering anymore, plus they are spoilt.

It's for their sakes as well as yours, you only learn to do something by doing it, there are plenty of small jobs they can do, you now need to persuade them that it's in their own interest
