[Wanted] Wanted D3 12S towing socket spacer
Hi all, have recently picked up a LR towing electrics kit, but it's missing the spacer that screws under the 12S caravan socket on the rear bumper.
LR do not sell this part separate to a kit, has anyone got a spare one knocking around?
Thanks Mikey

LR do sell that part separately, under part number VSA500060
It's cheap too, £1.21+VAT before any discount
(For others looking the spacer for the 13 pin socket is VSA500110 - £3.32+VAT before discount)06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!
Considering how well these rust to dust having a spare is a great idea. Are you listening Santa?A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

I have just had a 13pin socket fitted to my new car and discovered that the caravans plug wont fit in. The plug pushes in, but can't be turned 90 degrees to lock into place, because the large circular disc on the plug hits the top of the cutout in the bumper ? Could this be because this spacer isn't fitted ?
Did they use the proper Land Rover kit? The cap on mine hinges to the left - is your socket the same way round?A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. Yes its the proper LR socket which has been fitted into the R/H aperture and hinges to the right, so that the plugs flat disc sits at 12 o'clock and then rotates to the 3 o'clock position to lock it in. Or it should rotate
So yours is upside down compared to mine, and mine works. Have you had a look at the fitting instructions. Land Rover could have changed it.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. I have been sent the PDF from the dealership showing that my socket is fitted correctly, but the plug won't fit in I now have 3 steel nuts temporarily fitted between the back of the socket and the steel bumper, so the socket sits forward by about 10mm which JUST allows the plug to lock into place. If this spacer is missing perhaps that's the problem ?
Seems crazy that the dealership are telling me the socket is fitted correctly therefore there isn't a problem, whilst at the same time acknowledging that the plug doesn't fit Not much point in having a correctly fitted socket that you cant plug into
