Front & Rear Discs and Pads Replacement Cost |
|
Evening Gents
I'm needing new discs and pads doing in the next month, what have you guys paid for parts and labour?
I'm too busy to do it myself and tbh don't want to balls anything up!
I'm just trying to gauge costs so I know what to prepare for given I'll be buying prams etc in the next few months!
Cheers

Hi, local Indy quoted me £830 last year to supply and fit. All LR parts, disks, pads and sensors.
I ended up doing it myself, took a Saturday morning and the parts were £500 or so from forum sponsors.

From AF you should be able to source both sets for about £300.

I just did mine last week- discs and pads all round, plus I bought all the parts required to refurbish the rear calipers and sliders. £260+vat from AF.. and mines a V8 with the bigger brakes so probably a bit cheaper if you've got a diesel.
The kits from AF seem comprehensive- all new bolts, shims etc included. The plastic plugs supplied for the handbrake access holes in the disc were LR originals!

Do provide excellent prices & swift delivery..
Can your D4 be upgraded to the V8..... my knowledge doesn't extend to knowing if the D4 got this as standard....on my D3 very much worth doing.....
Someone on here was selling Brembo 4-pot brakes yesterday also...
Maybe consult Bodsy....the brake guru BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

D4 brakes are already larger than V8s It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
