side step removal
Sorry to come back on this subject again guys - I have established that removing side steps leaves big holes in the sills - so if you wanted to remove them and fix the holes how big a task is this. Is it fairly straight forward to fix new sills??
Thanks

Yes its very straight forward .Download the instructions for fitting the sidesteps , the first part of the instructions show how to remove the plastic sills to facilitate cutting the holes for the sidestep brackets.Just follow in reverse.
Basically involves popping/sliding the front end tabs of the sills under the front flaps , lining up the poppers & snapping them on, replacing the five or so plastic pop rivets on the U/S of the sill / replacing the screw/s that hold it via the rear wheel arch.
You will need new sills if you dont intend fitting the steps again unless you dont mind the holes.
