We have just collected our 65reg hse and after driving it for a few days I'm noticing play / rocking in the base of the seat its driving me mad every time we go over a speed bump / accelerate then brake you feel the knocking of it moving our previous MY10 D4 with manual seats never did this.
I done a search this seems to be a problem with the D3 and A adjust of the motor cable seems to repair it and a few people have reported it on there D4's but no answer on a cure for the problem it seems to be just the seat base that moves not the whole seat has any one experienced / resolved there problem?
Thanks Dan

Definitely a warranty job but I was hopping some had solved a similar problem as the Land Rover fitters are not the best at fixes like this!

Is there an answer to this, as my MY16 seems to have just started doing this. Its a very wierd feeling just as you stop you think the seat has moved forward fractionally, but if I try shifting it with my bum its solid. Get the same occassionaly when pulling away, feels like the seat moved backward, but again, no movement when I try and shift it.

I've the same issue on my 2013 which recently had a new seat frame fitted to the drivers seat.
The issue is particularly noticeable as I have the seat memory position #1 stored as far back as the seat goes and with the front of the base as high up as it goes.
Set memory position, drive a bit and then you can feel the 'wiggle'. You can manually tweak the seat base back and up to fix but this leaves slight movement still that you notice while driving.
Have found that adjusting the base tilt all the way forward/down and then back up seems to tighten the base up, however this is only temporary.
Frustrating despite new seat frame being fitted by the pros. Never experienced this on an Audi/BMW/VW
Planning on getting it tightened using the 'cable-turn' technique when it's next in for a service. Will report back if this resolves it. Luke
