Same here the rubber cover has nearly come completely off. I'm going to have a go on the weekend at peeling the rubber part off, spraying both fob and back of rubber with glue then sitting it on a ballon filled with flour to get the contours right with some weight on top.

dealer did ours on warranty...there doing them all the time....worth a try..if they cant get the key right..what chance the car...........they ought to be embarrassed

I did mine myself the other day with the above kit listed on eBay.... its not hard to do but you need to be careful not to damage the gasket or lose some little bits when you crack/break the old one open .... theres a vid on youtube showing how to do it.

You can buy the outer case from LR for around £8 just change all the bits over it's a simple and straight forward job MY18 D5 HSE LUX😎

That's the newer case I don't think they are as robust as the older one !
