2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 GS Manual Java Black

Disco 3 to 4

Anyone out there know about converting a 3 to a 4?
I've got one of the last 2009 3's with silver bumpers and wheel arches - and have sourced same colour (silver) disco 4 wings and 2014 on headlights and bumper. Just not sure if everything will fit - ie, will the 3 wheel arches fit the early 4 wings and the later 4 bumper and will the headlights bolt on to the same framework? Is the bonnet the same?
I'm hoping it would be that simple but have my doubts! Any help would be appreciated.

mine has the wings with the d3 arches.

What I would like to know is how much hassle is it to put colour coded d4 arches on mine? I know I'd need the end caps but I thinks I would have to change the mud flaps as well?

You can get colour coded arches and the end caps from Powerful UK for around £260 but you'll still need the trim on the bottom of the rear doors as unlike on a D3 these are not part of the arch.

Yes that's where I was looking. Seems good value for money. Only thing I was worried about was the d3 arches kind of finish at an angle and finish flush to the mud flaps I have already.

That's just brill. There are so many questions and still not sure what fits and what doesn't - I guess there'll be a wee bit of trial and error. All for a bit of fun in life

I've seen ones looking great for black 3's but mine is silver and I'm struggling to see what may or may not look ok.
Here's a photo (just taken now in Perthshire!) of it now but I don't like this grill - I've tried it on my dark blue 3 as well and still don't like it.

I thought given that it has the silver arches and the real lights are easy, there wouldn't be much to a late 4 conversion and am probably prepared to hack the front wings to make them fit as there isn't much value in this car - it's been to the moon and back a couple of times, but I quite like it cos it does 32mpg compared to the auto I have which does 20 or 21 with the wind behind it!

It looks like I can source a silver used 2014 front bumper and headlights are £240 each - worth a shot? 2005 Disco 3 for fun

I'm due to get delivery on 12th April - anyone getting one before that?
