help with water pipe clip please

hi

wondering if anyone would be so kind to tell me if there should be a clip here

can see from the second pic i can't see how it's being held in , looks as though a clip is missing to hold the white sensor in place

think it's a water sensor ???

can't find any part number or info

any help would be great please

also a pic of my butterfly valve assembly

I think there should be a wire type spring clip there, similar to the one on the left of your second picture.

disco mikey

bless u

my heart sank as i knew i hadn't touched it and thought here we go, lol

could see me trying to track one down from the breakers or having to buy a new sensor

so i don't need to panic anymore Rolling with laughter

not surprised in how dirty the egr pipes and butterfly housing is , map sensor was blocked solid

at least when all cleaned out the engine won't have to breath all the junk Thumbs Up

also surprised how easy the complete housing came out

Grease on the two back seals helps a lot when refitting the butterfly housing.
Mine started to leak a little oil mist a few weeks after being removed so I bought some new seals and er it still weeps a little Mr. Green
At least your egr is working, when I blanked mine the housing was pretty clean.

lynall

i did wonder that about putting some silicone grease on the large O rings or maybe buying some new O rings

got it in soak at the moment

at least then it will prevent all the junk going back into the engine

if i'm being honest don't know if it will make any difference but can't hurt Thumbs Up

when i removed the housing , i noticed the sensor wasn't attached , looks as though it has been broken before , don't know what the sensor is, maybe a fuel one ???

that fuel sensor mounting isn't a big deal.

you should be able to re slot it in

so that's what it is

engine looks like a spaghetti nightmare Rolling with laughter

will take me a while to learn what most of the parts are and what they do

spent the evening cleaning the throttle body out, removed the map sensor and also managed to get the butterfly out, reinstalled the bar and actuator

had to scrape out all the junk from the body

looks like the other half of the fuel sensor clip is on the body valve assembly ,

appreciate the heads up , as u say should be able to mount that back again , didn't even see it at first

don't know if it will make any difference in blanking the egrs , but surely must allow it to breath better

egr pipes as u can see we're well bunged up

noticed another sensor that sits in the front box, has a small green sensor on the end , that was also bunged up with junk, cleaned it all out with carb cleaner
