A god given right?
Why do some people think, no believe, they have a god given right to get something for nothing regardless of who will have to pay for it?
I've just watched one of those benefit claims docu-drama programs and I am dumbfounded at the entire mindset of these people. One of them had a huge family and openly admittedly if they wanted to have 50 kids, they'd have them.
Where has this way of thinking come from where they can stand there with their hand out and expect others to just cough up? I have always believed that if you want something you get off your arris' and get out the door to work until you can afford it but judging by their way of thinking, I'm wrong!!!!!

Child benefit should stop at two little b.......s. Well most of them are aren't they? With numerous fathers,
Ooops. That's put the cat amongst the pigeons.
Why should these people have a superior lifestyle to those that are paying their taxes. (In most cases).

Makes my pee boil too. I look at my 'deductions' on my payslip, then watch/hear of these types, who I am effectively funding for them to smoke 40 a day and watch Sky Sports on their 55" Ultra HD TV.
Unfortunately they are now in 2nd or 3rd generation families who's target in life is to rake in as much as they can from the state. How do you break that spiral, other than make it more difficult to claim?MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff

Well, if living on a sink estate in a sh@ hole of a house with 10 kids and a garden full of dog sh@ is your idea of a superior lifestyle Geoff, I ain't moving to Drym.
These people appear to have totally different priorities to me. Sky TV and a big telly is not my idea of a superior lifestyle.Mods:

Unfortunately Burnley is rife with it. I go into the town centre most days for one reason or another and I see them stood outside the cheap beer all day pubs with their little roll up cigs and daily star all chatting away. Same faces day in day out, not a care in the world as they all have enough money to drink 7 days a week from morning until night. There is not an ounce of work in any of them, most will have kids who see mum and dad on the most days and will follow in their footsteps like its a career choice. I won't go on but you get the picture. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the best of everything they have.

Saw a program the other day on similar problems couldn't help feeling angry and full of admiration at the same time. Council house full as mum, no father around, works full time as a child minder so running full time business from said council house. Single daughter with young child, again seemingly no father around, living in house. So that means not enough room for second unmarried 18 year old daughter now 30 odd weeks pregnant.
Council arranging a brand new two bedroom house with large garden an a brand new housing estate with two affordable houses, this being one of them. In fairness to her she is holding down two part jobs so is earning a living, the father is around as he will be visiting occasionally but will will not be moving in! The council officer asks if she has any questions about her new house.....the only question she doesn't ask is how much the rent is..

There are those that milk the system for all its worth and these make good TV and there are those who just get by on the basics probably the majority and these obviously don't make good TV.
One thing did annoy me today though, local food bank said they were running out of supplies and were asking fro me, no on the shelf behind them were tinned goods all branded why not say to people instead of buying one tin of Heinz soup at 80p, get us two tins of Adsa soup at 38p and save yourself money at the same time. And the box the volunteers were holding up had a multi-pack of monster munches in, surely they should be doling out good basic food not junk,==================================

I suppose they can only hand out what's been donated regardless of what's actually required.
In short, they can't give out what they don't have.Mods:

If I was in control everyone of them would have to come to the dole office to get their monies.
My dole offices would have small doors so the overweight ones couldn't get in.
Everyone of them would be tested for drugs, fags and alcohol if traces found no dole.
Benefits for one child only.In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I think the two child rule for benefit payments comes in this April. I'm sure I read it somewhere.
