Interior Lights Not Triggering (2005 D3) |
|
Had my car in the garage for the last couple of weeks to trace and fix a sunroof leak.
Since collecting the car I just drove it in the dark for the first time yesterday, and only then did I notice that the interior lights no longer trigger when I:
- Unlock the Car
- Open any of the doors or boot
- Switch off ignition (feel like it used to put the lights on after dark, but less certain about this now)
I've tried all the individual buttons on the front / middle light fittings, and all individual lights switch on and off correctly in this manner.
Am I being spectacularly dumb and missing a switch or setting, or should I be getting back in touch with the repair garage to investigate?
Any advice much appreciated! 2005 Discovery 3 HSE Auto

I'll leave this up here in case it's of use for anyone but:
Posted, then realised my owners manual was in the cabinet right behind where I'm working...
Owners manual confirms that a long press (>3 seconds) on the centre button of the front row lights will toggle between Off and Automatic modes for the interior lighting.
In hindsight, I'm guessing the garage turned it off when they while car was standing and they were in and out of the doors, but must have forgotten to turn it back on before I collected it. 2005 Discovery 3 HSE Auto
