Brake recall / Pictures before / After
Hi there,
just bought my 7A D3 TDv6 LHD. The brake master cylinder needs replacing, i'll do that when the part is here.
I was just wondering if we can have a quick picture comparison thread setup here. How did the vaccum hoses look like before and after the brake recall? Who's got some good photogrphs? Please put them here! Lefthand drive and right hand drive.
thanks
Thomas

Pete,
i was asking because i have no idea if it has been done on my car or not .
I have one vacuum pipe flowing away from the master cylinder, that gets into a small valve, then split up into two pipes going away under the engine cover.
I'll post pics later.

Your dealer should be able to look it up to check if recall done and the handbook should (?) have it noted in the rear part.

After 30 seconds on using the search function I've found some photos on the bottom of page 3 of this thread: http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic52311.h...p;start=30De-Tango
V8 Brakes
EGRs blanked
Running boards
3 flash indicators and clock on dash
Blingy grille...

So what do you think, is this before or after? It's a LHD.
Bought used from private. So many kilometers, the service booklet fully ran out pf pages. Too many dealerships, and no mentions of recalls. But, new engine fitted at 185000 kms, proof of motor numbers and vin on car and on receipt on file. Lots of things have been done, some others haven't. Hence the unclear state of affairs.

It looks like the recall has been done, there should be 2 pipes from the vacuum pump (as in pic above), but then after the black plastic non return valve the single pipe would disappear over to the servo on the left on your LHD vehicle.D3 owned from new, P017 brake recall, BAS FBHIC, new FBH, LR013487 oil pump, new water pump. RRS front lower suspension arms. New suspension compressor/ relay. New Denso alternator. CuNifer rear brake pipes. New GKN rear propshaft. New HPFP belt & tensioner. New A/C Condenser.NO WARRANTY for many many years.
