That's quite a difference in mileage - if you are OK with the XS spec vs. an HSE, I'd go for the XS.
Belts can be done for £600 at an Indy - as DJ states - factor it into the price
Also check front suspension bushes / arms - also not a cheap job if need replacing

Don't get hung up on the mileage - I ran my FL2 to 140k and it sang like a bird, as long as they have been looked after it's not a deal breaker.

Bit of an excessive wait when he is looking to get a new car??
There is nothing wrong with the 6 speed, just the 8 is a bit better. I would rather have a 6 speed than none at all.
He asked what peeps thoughts were.... They're my thoughts.

Yeah would love a 2012 onwards one but my budget doesn't stretch that far...
Were looking at the lower millage xs this afternoon.... I'm happy with the xs spec but the HSE seats and all the gadgets do make that more appealing. But most of the hse's for less than £20k are high millage with over 100k...

Mines a MY10 HSE with 106K on the clock, had it from new, cared better for than a new-born baby - love it and plan to keep for a few more years yet
I used to get hung on mileage of cars (which I'm lucky enough to always had from new over the past 18 years) - doesn't bother me now at all - Service History and preventative maintenance is the important piece IMO.
Good luck which ever way you jump

Just an update... we looked at the low millage xs but the interia looked well worn and abused so walked away. We didnt go with the HSE either.
But we found a tidy xs with 96k and full history with cam belts etc so did a deal on that. So the wifes happy
