Electric tailgate and seats
I didn't buy car for the electric tailgate or electric seats, however at the builders yard today loading stuff into the back. I used the gesture open facility to open the tailgate as I was carrying stuff and didn't want to put the stuff down to manually open the door. Then when the other stuff turned up (bags of sand and timber) I simply pressed a button to lower the second row seats.
So now I get it, I've changed my opinion from its a gimmick to actually it's a very good idea and useful. Its like I now have something I didn't realise I need In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Your not quite there yet.
What you should have done is whilst at the checkout counter (Paying with Contactless on you your mobile phone of course) you should have then pre thought about loading and used the app to remotely put the seats down and open the boot so its all ready for you as you return MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

Oh hell I can't wait to get the app. If only it could have a "remove dog guard and divider and stow in the garage" function as well!
The number of times SWMBO asks me to flatten the seats on the D4 when it's down and I'm just about to go to bed, just because she wants to use the Disco to carry some shopping, the app will be a godsend

Too True!
My load barrier and divider is in and out at least twice a week to use the seven seats at the moment, got quick lever fasteners on it and down to probably sub 2 minutes now but still a royal pain in the ar$e MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

I'd have those fancy seats whipped out in a heartbeat and good old ply decking in there. I don't mind the sound of nails being dragged over ply, not sure I'd like the sound of nails being dragged over new seat backs.

Now I didnt go for the app option for the seats, because I didnt see the point as I wouldn't ever use it. Or the silly gesture open tail gate for that matter. However it's all making sense now and its very handy.
I will be looking to see if I can add the phone app to alter seats option to the car In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Interesting! Can you elaborate on that mod? Is it the standard LR cage and divider?

You could just get MrsG trained in the dark art of dog guard removal and reinstallation.

Oh she is, but there's always a reason why she can't do it. Besides its so damn awkward she usually breaks or dents something!

I thought the phone app seat thingy was just for skydivers. Haven't seen the builders/DIY version of the ad yet. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Yes its the standard load barrier and cargo divider. I'm away at the moment so cant get a pic but if you use your imagination....
I had some cam levers lying around and lost a couple of the thumb bolts so thought I would modify the brackets to accept them just like Bike quick release wheels into the forks and it works I cut into the brackets that go on the car to make slots just like on bike forks and then threaded the lever bolt through the barrier bracket holes. Then you lift it in and drop the bolts into the slots and close the clamps just like a bike wheel. Once you have the tension right it holds nice and tight with just a flick of the clamp. I don't use the upper arms and pads as the divider holds it in place place well enough for me. I must add i don't use the barrier as a load barrier merely a dog barrier and made the personal choice and accept it may or may not be as secure as the bolts.
just did a quick "cam clamp" search there are loads availible from a couple of quid upwards i think they are M6.
