Gentlemen,

Do we think this would be OK for rear wheel bearings on the D3:

Would I be better with something like:

Don't want to spend a fortune as I've managed 34 years without one. Space not an issue.

Both back break shields knackered and one side I had to drill out the brake disc retaining torx bolt so thinking of stripping both back knuckles down when I do the brakes and lower suspension arms (and possibly back air struts).

I have the 20 ton one in your second link and its a great piece of kit, done a few rear bearings and hub bushes with it and it does not struggle at all. You just need to sort out some mounts so you can press the hub flange out and then the bearing, I use box section and it works well.

Thanks for that. I will have a think whether to go for the 20 or 30T one. I tend to think that more power might be better, and as I can claim the VAT back then it's only £150 ish

I would say bigger is better end of, you just know after you have bought and used the 20t one you will need the extra capacity for something, plus as they are most likely far east manufactured the 30t one at least stands a chance of doing what you need it to.
