D4 alarm question
I just mananged to set off my D4's alarm by having another key press against either the alarm button or rear door unlock on the dibber. Would only die when I started the engine.
Now I thought the D4 alarm was only the weedy alarm sounder. This was that and the horn and loud enough to wake/annoy all for miles around. Is this "normal" or is it some setting I've changed in the CCF setup?
TIA
D

I can't really help, as usual!
But, for the 3 years I have owned my 2010 D4 that has always sounded the horn and I haven't changed anything (but obviously that could have happened in the past).Andy

It's just ISTR peeps talking about trying to get the D4 to use the horn instead of the woo-woo box, but removing said box just meant no alarm.

Mine was just the weedy sounder until I enabled the horn with my iid tool. However, I've seen reports that the setting change doesn't work on newer D4s though.MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

A useful mod with the IID is to change the car to super lock when you press the door buttons.
So instead of having to press it twice or the key twice, you can just press it once

Done that, and to chirp on locking/unlocking, which it only does on unlocking.
