2006 LR3 4x4 console not accurate; multiple fault codes |

3/4/17 - update...
Good/bad news - in this case, communication 'errors' most likely due to rodent-nibbled/consumed wiring; Cover 'foam' all over the engine; facing engine from front, under the plastic 'cover', left hand side, 6 wires with ~10" worth of wire gone from the connector to the wiring harness...on right hand side of engine, 'yellow bundle' with several gnawed-on wires. Lots of 'fun' taking apart the connectors in order to attach new wires; going with new ~18 gauge wiring but guessing some of this wire is actually 'smaller'...

-- on/off warnings/issues w/DSC & cruise control (i.e. 'not available' messages)
-- ~3 weeks ago, came out to find EAS down to bump stops...
-- drive display shows 'F'
-- re-conditioned air compressor/air dryer/'exhaust'
-- replaced battery, break switch & EAS relay
-- used RSW Solutions software to read codes/reset EAS
-- now, 4x4 readout/display shows suspension as 'lowered' (even thought it is at standard height)
-- EAS toggle 'dings' but does not raise/lower
-- getting several warnings including:
--- reduced engine performance
--- HDC Fault system unavailable
--- Transmission fault: limited gears available
-- Warning lights on console: engine, DSC and brake lights (amber)
-- codes follow (reset does not clear; hard reset [remove battery] does not clear)

DReagan,
I just got a different 2007 LR3 because of the floods here in Houston. Two days after I got it, I have the U0127-87 code. but the first reading I took showed multiple lost communication errors. Usally no big deal.
In your case it is A BIG DEAL. If it were me, and my LR3 had that much rodent damage, I would remove all interior panels, and all of the covers and battery boxes in the engine bay and trace every last wire bundle I could find(and there are a ton of them). These things are so interconnected it may be a problem with one small wire that is cascading the fault codes and controls.
Since you have a list of modules and sensors not working, I would trace those first.
Also, since you are having HDC faults and a transmission limited gear warning, check the transmission module behind the battery to make sue it is not corroded.
Hope this helps, as I know there are many more talented Rover Gurus here on the forum and that will will correct me if I am wrong. They have helped me before as I ws "learning my way around these cars.
Good luck
