Rusty Nuts

Wheel Nuts to be precise Very Happy Mine are looking a bit old and tired, so would like to replace them.
I can see both alloy and stainless versions being offered.

Can someone tell me which is the 'best' option, if indeed there is 'best' when it comes to replacement.

If your pockets are deep, then these may be considered the best. http://www.wrington.co.uk/landrover%20alloy%20wheel%20nuts.html

Either bud
Stainless will look better for longer but heavier
Alloy lighter but do tend to go off colour if you clean the wheels with a cleaner that's to strong
I always add some water to any wheel cleaner spray I buy
I will be getting some black chrome ones when I paint my wheels black
Hope this answers your question
Both hold wheels on bud not much more to say
Phil

Shocking original design IMO.
I have just replaced all of mine with new as I was having to carry around 21, 22, 23 and 24 mm sockets to cater for all the various degrees of swollen / missing caps on the nuts.
Oh, and a hammer to get the nuts out of the sockets again Shocked

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20-x-Alloy-Wheel...Sw8w1X98ju

Although I think a solid nut with no cap at all would be a much better solution

And don't even start me on the locking wheel nuts........ Evil or Very Mad
2000 D2 TD5 - big red tractor no longer with us
2006 D3 - no longer with us and sadly missed
2010 D4 alas no more, but a lovely colour (Nara)
2016 D4 departed
2022 DiscoSport 45mpg, but its not a D4

Cant beat a nice set of nuts, they set the wheel off well. I sold my 19" HSE wheels yesterday and the chap had them fitted in Burnley but when finished they did not look as good as they should because all the wheel nuts were rusty. I did tell him that apart from the cosmetic look of them they could cause problems in the near future and that he should ditch the locking ones and get a nice new shiny full set. I don't think he had that price in mind as its not far off what he paid for the wheels Shocked

They just make the best of everything they have.

I might get a set of those unpolished stainless nuts. I'm fed up of buying the OEM ..

You can't beat here for price https://www.jgs4x4.co.uk/range-rover-sport...rrd500290/ but the stainless are appealing.
