I also thought so, but I've had all the injectors removed, tested, cleaned and re-seated (twice)...
One comment was that it could be a turbo seal - but isn't that known to burn black smoke from the oil?

2 minutes work to pop of top intercooler hose to check for oil, wont tell you much as theres always oil residue in a closed loop system.

Im not convinced by the cleaning/checking of common rail jobbies, testing yes sure, but didnt think there were parts available to recon them?
