Air Suspension Question
I park my disco in the garage which requires it to be put in access mode. The suspension lowers even further over time. I decided to check it by leaving it out in off-road heigh mode. After four days of no driving, the suspension slowly has lowered by 6cm all round already. Is this a leak or the compressor that is failing.
I have noticed that the compressor runs for a long time on start up generally. My mechanic says it is the compressor that is failing? Help

If it sinks over time, there is a leak. I often leave mine in access mode. It doesn't change in a week.Richard

If its sinking overnight you have a leak, the compressor may indeed be failing if it has to constantly top up the air tank, check for leaks before replacing compressor

Not necessarily leaks (but probably is). How is your battery - in good condition?
When my battery started failing the suspension started dropping over night - obviously something in the system relies on battery power.
The suspension dropping stopped as soon as the battery was replaced.

Check the compressor drier cap with soapy water when the compressor is running, as they sometimes split between the two pipe connections.
As for the valves this kit on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272213142557?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT
should do the trick, front and reservoir valves are really easy to access, the rear valve is an absolute **** so would advise fitting a new valve, as the time taken to remove and replace outweighs the cost of refurbishment.
The reason the valves fail is due to the desiccant in the drier breaking down, refurb kits for the drier including new dessicant and filters can again be found on ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Land-Rover-D...SwnDxUb36H If you overhaul or change the blocks without resolving the root cause the issue will reoccur in a short period of time.
When rebuilding the valve blocks, use a smear of silicon grease on the O rings, it helps them seal.
