what the heck i had seen it but not listened to it.
The D5 "packaging engineer" optimised and engineered the back around a CAD version of his dog Sammy the labrador. Thats why I'm hitting all these problems with the back, two of my dogs are not labradors - I've got the wrong type of dogs.
I wonder what the D3s packaging engineer designed the back around? did he have bigger dogs?MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

A pack of Irish wolfhounds judging by how big a d3 boot is. My Puggle loves it.
Oh and RDR.... It was a golden retriever not a Labrador...

Since they took the time to create Sammie in CAD I wonder if they allowed him to pull the seat switch in the boot and virtually crush himself?? 16 D4 Landmark

What a load of cr p, no dog guard, in a frontal impact their precious cad pooch joins them in the front seat, after mangling itself on 2 rows of headrests

What an absolute load of BS .... My two lurchers would be up and over that excuse of a bottom lip quicker than you can say 'Golden Retriever'. It is also very dodgy not having a guard between the Rear seat and the boot for animals.
I sometimes wonder who the hell thinks up these stupid marketing videos.My16 HSE Landmark - 2016 - Current. Indus Silver

I am sure LR carry out market surveys to help decide the future of their products.
There is a relatively small number of owners on the forum and of those how many have bought a new D4 in the last couple of years and how many are in the market in the next couple of years for a new SUV?
Those are the folk that LR and other manufacturers are probably most interested in.
I have to say I have been targeted by LR and BMW to respond to surveys, as I am also on their own databases.
