AMK compressor - air leak between dryer and compressor

Hello,
Need some input on a suspension issue. Car is a 2011 D4 and I get the "Normal height only" warning from time to time. Always within 30 seconds after car is started. If no warning has appeared within 30 sec the car is fine for the rest of the trip. Read the codes and I get the C1A20-64 which menas the reservoir is not filling fast enough. Expected to find a Hitachi compressor with the crack in the dryer end cap but found an AMK compressor. Started to look for leaks using soapy water and it looks like I have a leak between the air dryer element and the compressor itself. It is very evident when the compressor is working and the valve for filling the tank is open and pressure is high . The leak is still there when the compressor stops working and the valve is closed and pressure is low but is substantially smaller.

Checking the live values the compressor seems fine otherwise. When working pressure seems to be increasing rather ok despite the leak and the compressor is not getting very hot. Checking the gallery pressure when the car is switched off shows that it is slowly decreasing which I assume is due to the leak.

So it looks like I have a leak between the dryer assembly and the compressor body. Looking from below with the compressor attached to the car it looks like the leak is coming more from the top of the connection between dryer assembly and the rest of the compressor. I found a Youtube video showing how to change the silica beads and filters in the dryer but there were no seals in the repar kit and in the video I could not actually see a seal between the dryer and the compressor.

Has anyone seen how it looks like when the dryer is separated from the compressor? Is there a seal or o-ring that might be the cause of my problem? Anyone knows a source for new seals if there is one?

Thanks,
Peter

Have now checked the video and also listening to the sound... The o-ring mentioned could very well be my problem. Looks like it is approximate positioned where the leek seems to be. This o-ring should really be a part of the repair kit but I assume I have a suitable one in my generic o-ring collection. Anyone that happens to know the size? Would hate taking it apart just to realize I don´t have it.

Will contact the guy in the video and order a repair kit. To be able to reach the top bolt I need to remove the compressor from the car so I can just as well change the filters and dryer beads when I am at it. I will report back when it is done for future reference.

Thanks for your help,
Peter

In the video it didn´t look like there is a seal there. I am in contact with the company selling the dryer repair kit so I will ask. At least I will see how it looks like when I take the compressor apart. Anyone that has seen an exploded view of the AMK compressor?

Thanks for the link. I have now ordered both the dryer repair kit and the kit linked to above. I have also a reference for the small o-ring (bs829 silicone O ring) so I can source it locally. Will report when I have done the repair.

Thanks,
Peter
