Needing to get on & order two, unsure as to which ones to order (both for D4). Thinking of the 4T heavy duty high lift.
Thoughts/input appreciated.
CheersPaul.

I have the 4T one you metion and it works very well but it's worth a mention that the 'closed height' of 265mm means it won't fit under the chassis in access or depending on how the Discovery is sitting; in standard either, also the small top makes me nervous so I use a 'bolt through a socket into the hole in the chassis' to avoid slippage whilst jacking. It would probably also be safer to use a jacking pad or similar under the base of it too as it can get to quite and angle when fully extended
A good jack though and much less aggro than getting a heavy trolley jack out for those occasions suitable for using it, obviously never used without axle stand(s) though.and theeeeennn......???

Been using the 5T HD high lift for a while now since the merc sprinter jack spilled its guts.
I tend to use this bottle jack more than the SGS 3T trolley jack but never without axle stands as BM said .

I think the SGS one I have is the 5T high lift one. Have had it a while and use it a lot for various cars etc. Above point is defiantly valid about the small footprint. I always use something under the base of the jack to increase the print.
But a great jack, fits nicely in the rear drawer in my disco and has enough reach and lifting power to change a wheel no problem 07 Java Black TD V6 D3, EGRs Blanked, Tow bar, Full dog guard & divider, LED Spots , DRLs, GG ATs, RLD Sump guard, RLD Spare Wheel Protector, D4 LED Rear Lights, Limo tints on boot and Midnight tint on rear windows, Kenwood screen with Garmin nav, Rear cameras, D4 Steering wheel with flappy paddles, T-max split charge system, Tree sliders, Prospeed roof rack & Ladder, Alisport fast road inter cooler,

Interesting that the Sprinter jack failed. What were the circumstances?

It's more for a roadside tyre change that I'm after (one in each D4), I have a trolley jack at home for use there.Paul.

does anyone know if the SGS 4T high lift bottle jack will fit in the discovery jack stowage pocket (where the useless scissor jack goes)?

has anyone done this with the SGS 4T jack? my thought is that the sprinter jack seems to have a reputation for failing, so I would prefer to have an SGS model instead, but it must be able to fit in the cubby hole.
