My Brother has a problem with his defender, can anybody help please, he's in Austrailia so will forward info on, thanks
Some help please... I have a landrover defender 2007 model (LWB). Recently, whilst travelling at "cruising speed" on the motorway, (100kph) after a while, there is a small misfire from the engine, almost like the engine is sucking air for a second, there is a loss in power, then it's okay for 3 mins, same again. If I stop, then set off again, it's fine for about 5mins, get up to speed and then it all starts again. The local landrover specialist has no faults showing on ECU. No warning lights come on the dash. Fuel filter was replaced at the last major service in January. The mechanic has said it might be the Exhaust Gas Reticulation Valve. Has anyone experienced something similar?? Not very exciting post, but would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Has he posted this on aulro.com.au? There are heaps of people knowledgeable about Defenders (and other LR products} on there.
