Parking sensors and camera not working
Hi all.
This morning the rear view camera and parking sensors stopped working. When selecting reverse I get a tone and a message saying the system is not available and that I should contact my dealership. When trying to activate parking aid (PDC? Not sure what it called, but you know, the sensors) the button just flashes. No indication in the instrument cluster. Kind of annoying. Any ideas? It's an D4 MY12

Me too, traced the issue to the front left innermost sensor. Just not had time to pull the front end apart to fit a new one.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

I had this a couple of weeks ago..... http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic155547.html
It was booked in to get fixed as part of a scheduled service, but they found something more pressing and it was put off for another day....ever since then it has slowly improved to the point where it appears to have "self-healed" also.....
I probably shouldn't have tempted fate by posting that....
Yup,as expected,it returned yesterday "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

You could not make it up!!!! Must be a conspiracy on these cars on this date?
Yesterday this happened to me on 2012 HSE.....
SO plugged in my IID tool but...........nothing.
SO how do you diagnose which sensor it is that's causing the glitch?
However it is returned to normal today.

Select the sensor live values and move your hand back and forth in front of each sensor to see the distance change, as reported on the IID. The one with an erratic distance is your problem sensor.

Normally one should be able to turn on the ignition and put the gear box in reverse to engage the sensors. Then it's just a matter of listening wich one does not click... but with the 8-speed its not possible to select R without starting the car and it's very hard to select R and then listen to the sensors outside the car... or am I missing something here?
