ACM and USB stick

Just after a little advice/help.
I have an ACM kit fitted and it plays the iPod fine. The problem is, I cannot get it to recognise any USB stick.
As per instructions:-
ACM bypass switch set to active
Disconnected iPod first
USB less than 64Gb and formatted FAT32
Music files are MP3 (only one album to test functionality)
Tried a different USB cable (incase original was damaged)
Select AUX and wait for USB stick to load and wait and wait and wait......... you get the idea!
Reset using the button and then retested....... nothing Crying or Very sad

Am I missing something really obvious?

Any help appreciated.

ACM USB

I had a number of problems with my ACM recently (2009 D3) and thought it was possible a damaged cable as my son tends to trap it in the glovebox lid. however upon resetting the unit twice this morning using the pinhole reset on the underside of the unit it has sprung into life again.

I only found the reset when i was using the camera on my iphone to inspect the cables inside the glovebox. First reset didnt seem to do anything so i did it again for longer (20 seconds) then all has been fine.

After disconnecting an ipod source, the USB becomes active by selecting FM and then aux on the steering wheel controls. If your USB memory has an indicator LED it will flash when active.

Hope this helps
