It depends on which Terrain Response setting the vehicle is in.

In "Special Programs Off" or the normal program Sports mode is automatic until you use a paddle to select a gear manually.

In Mud & Ruts, Grass Gravel & Snow or Sand, Sports mode is manual and you need to use the paddles to change gear up or down.

Read about this on the forum so I thought I would give it a go today. I must say I was really impressed with the acceleration from such a large heavy vehicle. That said, I'm not sure which moved quicker, the speedo or the fuel gauge Big Cry
