I'm a 64 plate and the heating has really bugged me over the winter. Utter rubbish. Same issues others have described re hot legs. Have to run it at 25 to get warm, legs get hot and cold blows on face at same times very odd and not very impressed. The stop start is also a mighty pain and I suffer the same issues of shutting down all electronics / cutting off phone etc. This could be the shortest I've ever owned a car!

We're just back from a 5 hour trip, cross country. I have no issues at all with the heating in my D4 Landmark MY16. All 5 of us very comfy with both sides set to 19 until the sun went down, a quick turn up to 21 and we were perfect all the way home. External temps varied from an unseasonally balmy 8c in Mallaig, thro 0c in Aviemore and home to 4c in Aberdeenshire.
I rarely use the sat nav and on the occasions I have it's done it's job but I can't really compare to anything else.
Sound system is excellent to my old heavy industry seasoned lugs
I feel for all those with issues, there doesn't seem to be much apppetite by LR to sort out the heat.

After taking the dash trim off they found it had the correct foam bit. They upgraded the software but on the run to MrH's gaff and then home I had the dial set at 24 or 25, not my usual 20c. Good enough s'pose to be getting on with.
Also I've found a big down side to the rotory gear thingie, nowhere to rest my left hand!!

Went from MY12 to MY16 and have no issues at the moment with heating, just leave it at 20 all the time. Also compared to the MY12 the sat nav is like grease lightning. But if you want to see a decent implementation of a head unit and nav... I've been in my brothers 1.2 corsa rental... now that's responsive, smart and better than even the disco sport (which I had today as a loaner from the dealers)Sill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders
