Trailers with a mix of LED and filament bulbs

Hi,

I've read the threads on D3s and LED lighting on trailers (pulsing etc.) but have a different one to throw in the mix. Does anyone know how the D3 would behave if the trailer had a mix of both LED and filament bulbs ?

I'm looking at a trailer at the moment where out of the factory the marker lights are LEDs but brake/indicator/reverse are standard filament bulbs. Does the pulse the CAN sends only go to the indicators ? If that's the case then I'm assuming a setup like this wouldn't cause the usual issues ?

thanks,

adrian.

Same here I tow my ifor which had LED lights all around and caused a problem so I just changed the combination indicator and brake units back to the original bulb type but left everything else as LED. Works a treat Thumbs Up

My understanding is the Canbus uses a low pulse down the indicator wiring so as long as the indicators are not LED you should have no problems.

Best setup - Led Marker lamps and side lights, then Bulbs for brakes, fog and indicators and reverse.
Have a trailer with these lamps
