Absolutely agree, I borrowed an air rifle for some pidgeon control, shot one at point blank that was in its death throws on my lawn, just made the poor thing flutter around. Wringed its neck in the end. Think I need something a little more agressive, shame we can only get rim-fire on semi-auto over here. 2008 TDV8 Sport HSE

The only best way to kill a pigeon outright is a head shot which requires great skill and patience! You can't pop these centre of Mass due to the fact the breast bone and crop may reduce impact of the pellet not producing a clean kill same with a heart and lung shot as the wings act as body aromour! And you'll probbably break a wing if the rifle isn't up to hunting! A humane kill is always a clean kill

If your not a shooter read up on the gun laws ref shooting and areas to shoot in you can shoot in built up areas but this requires a lot of pre planning with police council and permits insuRance is essential for this and wearing his vis! Consider your back drop also you do not want to injury anyone or anything and pellets can do serious damage and in extreme kill

Remember pellet guns carry the same prison sentences as any orlther firearm as they are also classed as one! Not trying to scare just educate if you got to your local gunshop they will always know some one with all the above pre requisits and knowledge to dispatch your pesky pidgeons and usually will do it for free or a bacon butty and a brew at the least Thumbs Up God created heavy armour on 06 sept 1916, on the 7th the devil stood to attention!
