Xenon lights

I've noticed on my disco 3 Hse that only one xenon light comes on with full beam. It's fine otherwise,What bulbs would you recommend? TIA Thumbs Up

The bulbs nearest the grill will be H7's.

Osram and Ring are good brands, but don't go spending silly money as they don't do an awful lot.

I noticed a Salisbury filling station were selling ring bulbs the other day. £3.50 ish ? for one.

Good brand, should last, nothing fancy

That's the HID isn't it?

On main beam a flap moves and the top half is brighter

There are a few...

Philips do 150% ones
http://www.philips.co.uk/c-m-li/car-lights...xenon.html

Osram much the same
https://www.powerbulbs.com/store/category/...itting/d4s

Hids4u.....do these
http://www.hids4u.co.uk/d2r-xenon-hid-bulbs/

In my humble opinion it ain't worth buying brand x cheap ones.....safety at stake
 BREXIT - done properly.

D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

That's the Xenon bulb in there, (D2S) but it has only one 'filament' instead there is a small shutter that opens for full beam. If your dipped beam works then the bulb is ok.

The small shutters have been know to stick open, so it may have been modded to stop it opening for high beam. I have done that to mine as despite working on the shutter problem several times it till jams open frequently.

The other lights beside that lamp only come on with main beam so I haven't noticed any real loss of light.

It's a D2S not R that you need as well. Confused

If you do need a bulb, since you said in the first post it didn't work on high beam but was fine otherwise. Rolling Eyes
