Tyre Storage

Where do people store tyres when not in use. I get that it's vertical off the rim and laid down if on. But where do you keep them that's not too hot in summer. Do you bag them or wrap them in something? is the loft too hot (mines as hot as Hades in the summer), can you keep them outside?

I left my spare set outside raised on a couple of 4x2 sticks as I don't have a garage Embarassed
As long as the sidewalls aren't cracked/perished I keep using them without a problem Thumbs Up

Bagged or wrapped? Presumably in the shade / Under cover?

The loft is definitely not the place Laughing outside in the shade, covered with something to shield them from uv rays would be a start. I keep a couple in the shed, covered, but even that could be a bit warm in summer. Thumbs Up No room in my garage, full of D3 spare engine / gearbox/ diffs / compressor/ suspension arms etc. SWMBO is hoping the engine topples on me soon Laughing

Buckster, I presume your tyres are stored on rims then. I have some tyres only to store, I reckon I'll wrap then in plastic - or do they need to breath...
