[Free] Home made engine cover insulation FREE
Not worth posting so collection only - please donate a fiver to this site if you're local to me and you want it.
Only used half of what I ordered. Have cut the other half to shape already though may need a little trimming and I have some off cuts that you can use to fill any gaps. Picture is of mine - took ten minutes. It's sticky back and 10mm thick.

Hi,
more questions about it please was it worth doing
did it make much difference to your engine noise and have you had any issues with it getting to hot does it get anywhere near the 180 degrees max.
asking as I have just bought a Mercedes and it seems there should be section of insulation sat on top of the injectors under the plastic engine cover and its not there
just been looking on fleabay and remembered seeing your post on here, so thinking about doing the same fix
I had to construct acoustic booths for high speed / high volume impact computer printers..."burn-in boots"
We used the materials this company still sell
Get the application & cut out size right & it really works.
https://www.nkgroup.co.uk/product/vehicle-...-blankets/BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

I hadn't noticed a problem sound or heat wise, I just got tired of tidying up and losing the flaky bits from the old one. For a fiver and 10 mins - yes it was worth it.
