D3 Nuts
At the 9 year service & MOT yesterday we got a clean bill of health other than a MOT fail on corroded front brake pipes which was easily rectified for the retest
Aside from that it was noted that the wheel nuts were corroded and starting to Swell.
I seem to remember £6 each i.e. £120 being mentioned.
Looking at the AF site I see the Bearmach ones are £44 a set
Can anyone recommend these (or otherwise)
Its a huge difference in price, but to be honest I don't want to scrimp on something as important as wheel nuts for the sake of a few quid.
i had a set from af all good Range Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car
Discovery 3 HSE 2006 gone but never forgotten

I've had the Advanced Factor ones on for 3 years now - all good.
Can't remember if they were Bearmach though.

I've just replaced my wheel nuts with that exact set a couple of weeks ago.
Can't speak for the long term performance but visually they are pretty much indistinguishable from the ones that they have replaced (which were starting to swell) - I've got no concerns with them and at 'just' £44 they're a far better option than struggling to remove nuts later on.

No - binned locking wheel nuts when one wouldn't come off around 4 years ago.

yes to the locking wheel nut at the moment but only because the tyre fitters put it back on when I sub'ed the new set of nuts. My plan is to get rid of it and use the full set of non-locking nuts.
This may be tempting fate but I'm not in a high crime area and the risk of the locking wheel nut causing problems is probably greater than the risk of wheels being nicked (for my situation).

I am probably in the same situation as yourself.
I might get myself a new set of nuts and get rid of the locking wheel nut then.

Get rid of those lockers. Believe me, they will fail and cause you so much aggro, you'd really wish you'd done it sooner.
Ignore them at your peril.Mods:
