Remap

Hi. I have posted a more 'general' question in the recent past about getting my disco 3 engine remapped. The replies generally went along the lines of 'do it' and the 2 main companies to use being 'Alive tuning' and 'BAS'
I have a local ish place to me in Exeter called Remapping Exeter. From what he told me about the remap he keeps the original engine map file and offers money back guarantee etc. etc.. Does anyone out there have a remap by this company?
Or any feedback.

You asked for the advice !
BAS or Alive... I haven't heard a negative word against these two.

I have replaced engines and transmission components with failures that are directly attributable to a poor remap...

Stick with a tuner who specialises in Land Rover models, and you will be fine Thumbs Up

Everyone has their favourite/preferred remap.

Not everyone has sampled a wide range of remaps from said tuning companies, and can normally only comment on the remap applied to their own vehicle

Thumbs Up

What's the stance on re-applying BAS or Alive maps if they get overwritten - is there generally a fee to do so (no I do not have an IID) - presumably there is?
