Erratic RPM & noise ....Help

Having just put £50 of Premium Diesel in the tank I noticed something strange on the way home.

While driving with the radio off I heard a faint noise what I can only describe as a CD laser which is hunting on a scratched disc.
Then when i looked at the Revs the needle was bouncing between 1500 -1750rmp as if it was hessitant to change gear

No issues in gear change either in AUTO or Sport mode .....just this weird needle bounce and noise.

Any suggestion greatly appreciated .

There is no issues when you put your foot down its only when plodding along at around 50mph

Ive only just got it and covered approx 100 miles and went over it and over it before I bought it.
Just seems odd that the 1st fill of premium Diesel and all of a sudden its hunting the Revs and this noise.

Am I just trying to convince myself its something else ..!!

Mine does it sometimes usually when it's cold, what's the best option,change the TC or could it be worth a flush?
