Gearbox judder

My 2007 D3 (100k miles) had a gearbox judder a couple of years ago which was sorted with Dr Tranny. Now it has started to come back; around 1000/1500 revs in 2nd and 3rd, under load and/or on an incline.
I've had the box flushed - new filters etc. but it's still there.
I've been quoted around £1600/£1700 for a new converter in my area (Surrey/Hampshire) but would like to get this down as I'll be changing the vehicle in 3/4 months.
Are there any suggestions for good independents in the southeast?

Had mine done at Bristol Transmissions. Excellent and cost around £1k. New unit also, not a recon.

For price comparisons, I have just had mine done with new TC, stator bush, E clutch bush, 6 new accumulators and new friction material along with new filter and mount.

Cost me £1,250 + VAT. Now drives like new.
