Another night out last night. None of the marked tracks were cleared, only graded for cross country skiing or skidoos. The old postal route was graded, I tried to get onto it but the first wheel that touched it sank about a foot deep. In the end we found a cleared path just off the road creating a car parking area. It seems people tow their skidoo on a trailer, then park up and use that to access the country cabins. There's no other access up this rural area.
Just turned up to the barrier at Nordkapp, 15 mins after the last convoy. So we're now in a hostel whilst we wait for this evening's. There was a guy who's flown into honnigsvag and is yomping in the last 25km to nordkapp and back. It's blazing hot sunshine here, even on the next fjord along. I think there must be a delay on the cam? Could be a bit of a delay but the other cam a the access point to the radar station is also showing fog.

Back up at the convoy start point now. It's a little clagged in, it only seems to be over nordkapp itself. It's still bright sunshine down in Skarsvag.
As I speak it's just turned to snow. It seems the convoy goes up and comes back 3 hours later. A long time to hang about! Having looked at the last photos of the fjord I posted in the 3.04 post, you can just make out the weather moving in from the sea. We just missed it, but it's been a brilliant day.
