You & Mrs G could do it by campervan.

They get everywhere. You can be bouncing along a track miles and miles and miles from anywhere, thinking this is true wilderness stuff, and round the next bend lumbers a campervan. Must confess to a fair bit of jealousy, especially when the bugs are bad.

Despite already ordering a tent online, I had the opportunity to see one in the flesh this weekend, before it was delivered. As I walked up the stairs, I panicked thinking the display model was 2 sizes bigger than the one I ordered. Turns out it's exactly the same size, such a relief and such a good bit of kit. Having the stove inside should help when it's -16 like it was last night!

Tentipi Zirkon 7. Looks a bit skew there but I was halfway through and didn't take any more photos. There's a floor and drying rail inside it too which will no doubt come in handy.D4.5 Facelift, Lazer ST4, Prospeed underbody and rack, IID BT, Compomotive/BFG KO2, Series MFlaps, RAI, Dog Gd+XBB, Alive Tuned, T-Max/YellowTop, RemoteFBH, GlassesMod, WheelWinchMod, Jack Mod, LED Mods, Seized Crank Mod....

Looks like they are having a bit of a VW/Audi get together up there at the mo. Any colour as long as it's blue. If they can get there etc. .........

Fitted the ladder and wheels today.
Only one of the bolts holding the tailgate handle is spinning which is workable.
Eventually all the wheel nuts came off too!
However when I opened the garage all the wheel balancing weight strips had fallen off, not sure why but there's loads on each wheel. So they'll need rebalancing...

Step inserts removed in anticipation. Snow build-up can freeze, blocking the doors from opening.
It looks much more rough and ready without them

I suspected from the tracks turning up to the radar station that this was what they used but finally caught it on camera.

Haha. A few mates are there at the moment on exercise and have been recommending ski resorts that they visit on weekends. I wonder if someone's just fancied a trip out in a BV and took one up to Nordkapp.D4.5 Facelift, Lazer ST4, Prospeed underbody and rack, IID BT, Compomotive/BFG KO2, Series MFlaps, RAI, Dog Gd+XBB, Alive Tuned, T-Max/YellowTop, RemoteFBH, GlassesMod, WheelWinchMod, Jack Mod, LED Mods, Seized Crank Mod....

It does seem a bit hit and miss as to whether that road is open or not. No idea where you could find that info out but they might have planned opening times to co-incide with cruise ships.
Also seeing the snow gates a bit south of the tunnel closed a bit more.

Hopefully will be open, won't be up there for another 3.5 weeks. If it's closed we will just have to stop short and yomp it in!D4.5 Facelift, Lazer ST4, Prospeed underbody and rack, IID BT, Compomotive/BFG KO2, Series MFlaps, RAI, Dog Gd+XBB, Alive Tuned, T-Max/YellowTop, RemoteFBH, GlassesMod, WheelWinchMod, Jack Mod, LED Mods, Seized Crank Mod....

They've had a lot of snow lately hopefully that will hang around. They had a big digger clearing paths in the North Cape complex this morning so getting ready for visitors.
Then hopefully it'll all go for when I go there, this is how I like to see that snowgate.
