Cam belt change on a D4 - ?

If I recall on the D3 it was 100k/6yr, but heard that on the D4 its 112k/7yr, is this correct?

Also on a D4 is it recommended to have the oil pump changed at same time (as with the D3)?

Approximately what is the cost for this work by a LR dealer or 'specialist'?

Yes its 7 years or 112,000 .. The oil pump is the new standard so does not need changing. I have done a couple now but Dealer quotes range from £1200.00 to £2,000 from what I have read.

Both front and year belts, combined with the normal service items, im going to have to pay £800+VAT at an indy over here. They claim to be able to do the rear belt with the body on though....

Just been quoted £663 inc vat/labour for the 7 year B Service including belts at my local indy. Stratstone Nottingham wanted £1094.

one indy quoted me £830 for front belt only and £1500 for both. Another came back with a quote which included brake flexis and diff oils etc so I asked for clarification and they didn't come back to me. Local dealer quoted £1280.

I have just been quote by an indy in Northants £600 for both belts and pullit's etc, and a further £400 plus vat for B service. Think I can get it cheaper. I hope!

I'd travel to Land Rover Centre Huddersfield and stay over in a travelodge. With diesel and a room/meal you'd still be saving 200 quid.

They were spot on too.
