It now begs the question especially with all the bottom end failures, do you fit a new pump, even though the D4 and later sports have the modified pump. I guess it would ensure you have good oil pressure, and if you had a bottom end failure, would it help your claim with Land Rover?
My car is an 2011 with circa 70000 kilometres / 44000 miles and is still under Land Rover Approved Warranty until this summer (for anybody in Scotland that's 3 days sometime in August) however I have booked it in for a belt change this year whilst still under warranty, so am thinking new pump as well?

To be honest I do not recall ever hearing about an oil pump failure on the 3.0 engine either on here or elsewhere, so I'm struggling with the rationale for changing it. If the crank goes I don't think whether you have changed the oil pump or not will make one jot of difference as to how LR handle your claim.
