Hei Kajtzu, ole hyvä.
Having spent quite a bit of time in Tampere over the years I was a little surprised you favoured the spelling of our Blueberry pie eating, cousin ing, neighbours from over the thankfully wide ocean.

I got caught as the lead car behind the Highways Officer's car performing a rolling-roadblock on the M4 yesterday. I couldn't see the reason, but just sat there for an hour until it cleared. Just how important, impatient or nosey do people have to be to get out of their cars and walk to the front (sometimes for quite some distance) just to find out what the hold-up is? I thought the Highways Office was quite patient! A quick Google and a Bristol News site had the reason (a horse that wouldn't go into a different horse-box after the one in which it was originally travelling broke-down).
As for the car to my right and their loud heavy-bass Bangra music through lowered windows...

I believe that "ax", "color", etc., are historically correct, it is just that the UK diverted slightly,

That may be so, also, US speeling may often be more phonetically correct.
However, the language is called English and that's the way the English use it in this day and age. If other nations don't like it then tough.
Personally, I feel that encouraging "Creeping Americanisms" should be a hanging offense.
