String of faults maybe related

Ok started a couple of weeks ago when i had the dashboard light up and car lowered tracked it down to a front abs speed sensor. Then last week the fuse blew in the washers replaced the fuse 4 times trying to fault find only to it started working again with nothing changed
Replaced sensor but since then when starting every morning I have had HDC fault or Parkbrake fault or special terrain response turned off. Also the dashboard lights have been flickering for the first 10 mins or so of driving. then Sunday the SatNav started flickering and when my son turned his seat on the power dropped

So replaced the sensor as said above checked battery voltages seem a bit low with Ign off at 12.1v and with it on it was running at 15.7 volts changed the Battery as it seemed a logical thing to do in the order of things still got the same issues Big Cry

Today I changed the Alternator (that fan was a Censored to remove) started it up on the drive everything seemed fine shut it down put all the plastic trim back on under the bonnet tried again and got HDC fault Big Cry

Forgot to say all fault codes were checked and they were all over from Park brake to suspension to Hvac to Suspension I dont think there was a module without a fault listed
Any help welcome

If your battery wan't charging fully with the old alternator then you'll need to make sure it is fully charged before fitting the new alternator.
I believe It takes a very long drive with no ancillaries on to fully charge the battery with just the alternator.

Clear all the fault codes and scan again after a drive, see if any come back.

You might also want to check whether you have a parasitic battery drain.

I was wondering if it may be worth taking the battery out and charging it overnight see if it helps

Hi Slobox, I am not a battery expert, but there might be benefit of charging it in place and out of the car.

I found the paristic battery draw by measuring the voltage at night and then again in the morning. Removing the battery overnight and doing similar measurements showed that it was not the battery.

Before finding the draw, I got the occasional PB warning light, suspension lights etc and went down the path of replacing the battery, then the alternator blew so that was replaced, then replaced thevbattery again, until realising that the problem was a parasitic draw. Unfortunately it is still unresolved.

So it certainly worth checking as otherwise it can cost lots of money.

Update tried to charge it with no success. Got it tested today showing 12.8v but when under load the amps dropped to 500A and the voltage to 9.1v was told it was done luckily where I bought it will replace as a good will gesture. Very Happy

my first thoughts were battery starting to loose interest, I had a low battery voltage show up when Bodsy health checked mine so I keep it hooked up to a ctek charger when not in use as its not the daily driver at the moment.
do believe they require a battery in top order to function as it should
Phil.

New battery fitted still showing faults Big Cry

Does anyone know of any connections that may have come loose or had water ingress that could cause this?
Also since changing the fuel filter 2 weeks ago I have had the car loose power 3 or 4 times and the engine light come on. This only happens for the shortest of moments less then a second and always within a couple of minutes of driving
