My dealrship can't count
So my MY12 went in this time a year ago for an Intake manifold, and again 3 weeks ago today for the other side (It's still there)
LRCS were very helpful after I asked for some goodwill, I contacted them through here an they called me a day or two later.
They said they would be happy to look into goodwill even though the extended warranty ran out just under a year ago and I have completed the last 2 services.
So they requested a total price from the dealer so that they could work things out.. The dealer dragged their feet and that's why it's still there 3 weeks later..
However, LRCS agreed to cover 30% of the repair, which I was happy with really so accepted.
The dealer called me a week ago today and told me that LRCS had agreed to pay 30% and said that would be £295.. this seemed odd as it would put the total price at ~£983, quite a bit lower than expected..
so she then said my total to pay was £800.. of course this confused me further.. as the numbers still don't tally up..
Well, yesterday she called me again and said, ok the work is complete and the total price is ~£1600 (this was a more expected price) then said minus the £295...
I said well, LRCS said 30%.. She said yes... £295
I hesitated for a second and said well... £295 is not 30% of £1600 I didn't know the exact amount in my head at the time, but said considering that 25% would be £400..
There was a good 30 seconds silence at this point
She then quickly got off the phone and said she would revise it and get back to me..
She called later to say that the dealer would bring it down to £800 as further good will..
I'm happy with £800 as its what an indy quoted, so I'm getting a dealer fix at an indy cost..
I'm now waiting to see if they actually replaced the fuel pipes.. I'm hoping so or it will be going back and I will take more than 50% off that repair!

10% = £160, 3 x £160 = £480
Why does she need a calculator?
Good price you paid though Iggy/Ieuan
